The Stags have qualified for the final of the Kingsgrove Sports T20 Cup competition, to be played next Sunday (November 5) at Coogee Oval from 2:30 PM against Randwick Petersham.
Randy Petes have had the services of current Australian international Daniel Sams, as well as Big Bash players Jason Sangha and Alex Ross in the competition.
The Stags have made the final without having played any home games in the competition, due to the lack of availability of Chatswood Oval at the start of the season. Wicketkeeper James Newton has led the way with the bat, scoring 168 runs at a strike rate of 126 runs per 100 balls. Axel Cahlin has scored 151 runs, including a spectacular century in Round 1. Our bowlers have been outstanding throughout the competition. Matt Wright has taken 9 wickets at an average of 11.2 and with the remarkable economy rate of 4.4 runs per over. Quincy Titterton has 9 wickets at an average of 16.0 and an economy rate of 5.5 runs per over.
Last year we were treated to a Tym Crawford spectacular at Coogee Oval, and we would all love to see a repeat of that. It has been some time since the club was involved in such an important game, so we encourage our supporters to get along to Coogee Oval to cheer on the boys. A bus for supporters, at a cost of $25 pp, will depart from Chatswood Oval at 12:15 PM. A livestream will be available on PlayHQ for those who are unable to travel to Coogee.
