The NSW cricket pathway is designed to identify talented players at progressively higher levels, from community cricket through to professional and international cricket. While there are separate male and female pathways, they follow a similar structure.

Pathway for Men

A typical male cricket pathway in NSW is:

  1. Club Cricket
  2. Representative association cricket (U12-15)
  3. Gordon Cricket Academy (U13-14)
  4. Green Shield (U16)
  5. Poidevin Gray Shield (U21)
  6. Men’s Premier Cricket (First, Second or Third Grade)
  7. NSW Blues / BBL
  8. International cricket.
