The most hearty of congratulations are extended to Sean Twining on his exciting and deserved selection as wicketkeeper for the NSW 2ND Xl/Colts team to play the ACT in a four day game at Blacktown this week.
Selectors, led by Brad Haddin, have carefully observed Sean over the past few months and, having played some early season trials for Gordon, he is currently captaining the Knox Grammar School IST XI where, coincidentally, he scored 120 last Saturday.
Sean has played the last three seasons for the Gordon Green Shield team, captaining the side last season, as well as representing the NSW team at the Australian U17 Championships.

Commenting on Sean’s inspired selection, Gordon Junior Development Manager, Bob Thomas, made the following observation when news of the selection became public knowledge:
‘On behalf of the club I am absolutely delighted to learn about Sean achieving this honour at such a young age. He came to Gordon as an U14 Greenie and immediately displayed outstanding glove work and such a mature approach to his game. At the Stags we have had four Australian keepers and Sean’s polished glove work reminds me very much of Brian Taber at his best.’
All Stags supporters are certain to be delighted to learn about Sean’s achievement and will follow his journey and future success with the greatest of interest.
