Hearty congratulations are extended to Rory McLean on his recent selection in the Green Shield Merit Team for 2022/23.
Rory, a country Greenie from Lismore, enjoyed a stellar competition, both with the bat and wicketkeeping gloves, and thoroughly deserved his inclusion in the merit side.
He was a key member of a Stags team that played some thoroughly entertaining Cricket in making the Qualifying Finals, only to have their game abandoned due to inclement weather.
Rory follows in the footsteps of his father Paul, who along with Adam Gilchrist, at the tender ages of 17 and 18 respectively, joined the Stags from Lismore and were immediately members of two Premiership first grade teams in 1989/90 and 1990/91.
