The 2023/24 Season was a successful season for the club. We finished in the top third of the club championship and qualified for finals in 6 of 10 competitions, including all three 1st grade competitions (T20, One Day & 2 Day). The young players within our club continue to improve and the prospects look good over the coming seasons.
We now turn our focus to the 2024/25 Season and planning is underway in both on-field and off-field areas.
One of the major challenges for the club is financial pressures, with the costs of running the club continuing to increase each season. Sponsorship and our very successful Stags Luncheon raise important funds for the club, but an area that we want to expand is donations from supporters. If the club can develop a good base of donors this will provide valuable funds to sustain the operations of the club and also much-needed improvement of our facilities, alongside support from Cricket NSW and our local councils.
A supporter donation program also provides an excellent opportunity to keep our supporters and past players engaged with the club. Donors will receive the following benefits:
- Associate members of our club with invitation to attend and vote at our AGM
- Attendance at our Annual Sponsors and Supporters Day at Chatswood Oval
- A 10% discount for yourself and one guest at our Annual Golf Day and Stags luncheon event.
We have set three levels of donor, depending on your financial position. The 3 levels are $200, $500 and $1,000. However, you have the flexibility to donate any amount you wish. We hope that many donors will choose to contribute on an annual basis, (and we will endeavour to make this as straightforward as possible) but there is no commitment required for future years.
Tax deductible donations are made to the Australian Sports Foundation, nominating the Stags Donor Program as the beneficiary. The Australian Sports Foundation will provide you with your Tax Receipt, nominating Gordon District Cricket Club as your beneficiary.
